Hon'ble Finance Minister's visit to Hong Kong
Hon'ble Finance Minister Shri. Arun Jaitley visited Hong Kong to speak to the Global Investors community at the India Capital Markets and Institutional Investors Summit organised by Asia Pacific Investors Cooperation (APIC). This major Summit, held in Hong Kong for the first time, was attended by all major funds, asset management companies and financial institutions in Asia Pacific.
Finance Minister, who was accompanied by a strong business delegation led by Dr Jyotsna Suri, President FICCI, also spoke at a luncheon meeting organized by Dr Margaret Fong, Executive Director of Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), interacted with major companies and investors of the region one-to-one and in groups, and had extensive interaction with international and local media. He also addressed the Indian community during a dinner hosted in his honour by the Indian Chamber of Commerce. He met Hon. C. Y Leung, Chief Executive of Hong Kong to discuss matters of mutual interest.
During his visit, Finance Minister spoke extensively regarding the strength and resilience of Indian economy, Government’s policies and reform agenda, and opportunities for Chinese companies in India.
