Constitution Day Event at Embassy of India, Beijing
In recognition of invaluable services of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in drafting the Constitution of India and his contribution to building modern India, the Government of India is celebrating November 26th as ‘Constitution Day’ to mark the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in 2016. 
To commemorate ‘Constitution Day’, the Embassy of India is organizing an event at the Embassy premises on 26th November, 2016 at 4 PM. With the objective of celebrating our Constitution, the event will feature an interactive and multimedia presentation titled “We the People”. This will include a play performed by young members of the Embassy along with screenings of small video films depicting the interactions of the members of the Indian Constituent Assembly. The presentation is being enacted as a tribute to the founding spirit of the makers of modern India which will highlight different perspectives about the Indian constitution. In addition to this, there will also be a reading of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution.
